It's moving day!

Hey Everyone!! First I want to say that I hope you all get to have a great Labor Day weekend with your families!

Second, I want to let you know that I'm going to be moving this weekend, so with my craft area packed up (and moving into a HIGHLY anticipated craft ROOM) I will be sharing some awesome promotions and some tips and tricks from Stampin' Up! this week until I'm able to relax a bit and make some pretty projects for you all.

So make sure to eat some good food and spend some quality time with family this weekend, and I'll see you Tuesday!

Simplistic Birthday

Isn't it great when you know you can whip something up when a friend's birthday just sneaks up on you?

Today's card took me maybe 5 minutes to make, 10 if you count my mental "design time"
A little bit of Baked Brown Sugar and Midnight muse, a few flowers and a GREAT birthday stamp and I was done!

What's your "go to" for last minute gifts and cards? Do you make them yourself, or run to the store?

Unconventional newlywed card

Today I want to share with you a "different" wedding card. A friend of mine just got married last weekend to a Soldier in the Army. And to match his uniform, their colors were red, yellow and blue.

Summer Starfruit became a perfect base in it's golden tones (I really hope it gets pulled into the Regals Collection next year!) Midnight Muse added a fun ribbon and the swirl that frames the "For the Newlyweds" sentiment. Add the Raspberry Ripple embossed with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder and my trusty Big Shot, and it's all done!

Using Stampin' Up! products is a great way to make truly personalized cards and gifts!

Wondrous Washi background

Hi Everyone! Hopefully you all had a great weekend, but it's Monday now (Ugh! lol) So I wanted to share a card that was bright and cheery for a Monday Pick-me-up.

This card shows how to use washi tape for a background. I just lined them up and put off the overhang with a craft knife. Then I used two pieces side by side to frame the "good for you" banner that's a part of the Banner Greetings Hostess stamp set.
I hope that this card made your Monday a little brighter!

Congratulations on your little monkey!

Hey Everyone!! Hope you have all had a great week!
Today I want to share a card with you that was inspired from Stampin' Up!s Stampin' Success Magazine. (Only available to Demonstrators) The original card was for Thanksgiving, but I wanted to see what I could do with the layout with other items.

There's even a cute monkey peeking from a corner on the inside!

I love finding a card or sketch and making it something really different. Do you like to use sketches or other cards for inspiration?

It's Thursday...it's PALs DAY!

Happy Thursday Everyone!! The week is over halfway over and I want to say thank you to all of you for everything you have done this week.
To my stay at home Moms, thank you for EVERYTHING you do. ( I know it's a LOT!)
To the working Moms, thank you for doing your best to provide for your family.
To the small business owners, thank you for keeping the dream alive.

Everyone deserves a thank you, even for the little things, because the little things might be all that person can do.

This little card features the "I am me" DSP. Two little snips off the same piece of paper and a little "thank you" stamp from the Morning Meadow hostess set came together nicely. Three little rhinestones add just a little pizzaz.

I'm also submitting this card to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge for this week! Check out the awesome inspiration over there!

Gingham Garden

Hey Everyone! Happy Hump Day! Today I'm going to share a card from an outdated (by a week) sketch challenge. This card is actually based off the Mojo Monday sketch from last week, but I saw a few other Gingham Garden cards, so I didn't want to add another one to the list. The "Hello" from Lovely and Lacy fit perfectly in an oval framelit I also inked around the edges of it so that it matched the other layers.

Oh Hello Soho!

Today I'm showing you two versions of the same card, using the same paper stack. Matter of fact, its the same piece of paper, just flipped over!

Isn't it great to be able to get different looks from the same paper? Soho Subway could last you all year  just in "thank you" and "just because" cards! I really think we should all send more cards or letters snail mail style, I know I get tired of bills and "special offers" in my mailbox!
How would you like to light up the face of a friend or loved one just by popping one of these babies in the mail box? So tell me, how many cards do you send a month?
