So, I know how intimidating it can be to start crafting sometimes.
You see all these people that must have rooms full of supplies that they can make all these pretty things with, right? Well, next week I'm going to show you five different cards that only use 8 products to make, and that's including the adhesive! You can even get away with less, I just used a couple different ink pads. So please stop by next week and see that you can you can do this too!!
They had a really cute sketch on Saturday (that I just found) and I wanted to share it with you.
This is the new Afternoon Picnic DSP. Isn't it beautiful? Pretty, nostalgic, vintage.... There's even a "tea" themed sheet that would go perfectly with our Tea Party Stamp Set!
This card really kind of made itself, it's just Very Vanilla and Afternoon Picnic DSP, a little Wisteria Wonder ink on the edges and some leftover ribbon. Voila!
P.S. That's only one sheet of DSP too! The side panel is the reverse! That means more paper to play with later!
Today I'm playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch (told you I was getting addicted to these challenge blogs!) Here is the sketch of the week:
And my version:
I just got this year's In Colors the other day (along with some other fun goodies I'm sure you'll see later).
I LOVE Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush together! Don't you? As soon as I saw this sketch I immediatly thought of my new goodies, and I think I pulled this one off pretty well. I also have a few showers coming up, and since the colors are so summery, it totally works!
The three medallions are part of the new Quatrefancy line called Mosaic Madness, and the added bonus? MATCHING PUNCH! You can even buy them together for 15% off. I just love how everything goes together so well!
Have you seen the new Designer Series Quatrefancy paper pack from Stampin' Up! yet? If not, then you might be missing a new favorite. It has all kinds of beautiful bright colors like Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Slush, and Island Indigo, to name a few. I felt the need to mat mine with black for yesterday's Mojo Monday sketch.
As you can see, it was a round or square week at Mojo Monday, and until I can get those awesome new circle framelits, I'm running with the square crowd.
I wanted to showcase all the pretty colors in this paper specifically, and this is the form it took. Isn't it great when something just kind of happens?
Today I am playing with the Pals Paper Arts challenge. I immediately fell in love with this sketch by Margaret Moody, maybe because I've never done a diagonal like this. I'm also loving playing along with all the challenges lately. They've really been giving me some inspiration, I hope they are doing the same for you!
So here's this week's challenge....
And here's what I did with it....
Yes, I'm in love with my Subtles pack! This one features Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, and So Saffron.
First, I laid a base of Pool Party, and inked the edges (a craft sheet works WONDERS for helping with this!)
I popped up my Thank U sentiment from A Round Array with a dimensional, I just HAD to use texture in as many ways as I could think of. I love the visual texture of the inked edges and the Delicate Doilies as a background, then the Perfect Polka Dots for some 'real' texture!
Hope you all enjoyed the card! Why don't you play along too next time?
So this week I'm running about a day behind. You know those days when you end up with a few extra things to do, AND the kids decided not to take naps? That was my yesterday. I did get my Mojo Monday card done (those 20 minutes when both boys were actually asleep at the same time) I just didn't get a chance to share. So I'm going to share that one with you today!
Here's our Mojo Monday sketch for this week....
And here's what I did with it.....
All of the colors here are in the Stampin' Up! subtles collection (except for the stem of the flower, it just retired from last year's In Colors, Lucky Limade is the color). I love how I can go to my filing cabinet, pull out a collection of papers and know that everything goes together perfectly!
To give this a little punch of texture I embossed a piece of Wisteria Wonder with my Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and added a few rhinestones for some shine. Dig the inked edges around the flower?
I didn't have a Wisteria Wonder ink pad, so I just used the brush end of my Stampin' Write Marker, inked up my sponge dauber, and swirled it around the edges. For a little extra detail, I used the "pen" side of my Lucky Limeade marker for some veins in the leaves. So what do you think? Not bad for short on time and wild kids running around huh?

What are you getting Dad for Father's Day? I made Hubby's Dad this card:
I love the exploding stars! Unfortunately everything I used is retired, but don't fear there are some really great new Father's Day stamps in the new catalog (check it out here).
I will list what I used though:

Paper- Sycamore Street (was part of Sale-a-bration)
Ink- Island Indigo Stampin' write marker
This week over at Dynamic Duos we're exploring Blushing Bride and Soft Suede. This is a really simple card to put together and looks great! I also used this as the inspiration for my sister-in-law's birthday card.
I've had a definite case of the Monday's today, how about you? But I got to sit down tonight and work on my entry for Mojo Monday, so it's all better now! Here's this weeks sketch:
And here's what I did with it:
I kept it pretty true to sketch this week, though I did move the square to the right a bit. There are some really cute butterflies that I just couldn't cover up on the background paper. Did you see them?
The sentiment is, "be the best that you can possibly be", and was a part of the My Minds Eye paper stack that I used. I think this looks like those "complicated" cards that I sometimes feel intimidated by, but this one has nothing fancy, just some paper, ribbon, and a Stampin' Up! dimensional.
Yesterday started Pals Paper Arts 160, a great color challenge featuring Stampin' Up! In Colors Gumball Green and Primrose Petals. At first I was a little scared this might turn out a little Christmas-y, but I don't think it turned out that way in the end.
I fell in love with the Lacy and Lovely stamp set when I first saw it, but always found something else and forgot about it when it came time to order, but my demonstrator kit came last night and I made SURE to get it with my kit!

Sorry I've been out of the loop a little longer than expected... Stinkin bug nabbed me with a fever. But I did want to share this cute card with you. This is going to a friend going through a rough time right now and I wanted to send her a little pick-me-up that she could read whenever she wanted.
I love these multi-layered cards! And I think the shimmer ink really helped brighten it up a bit. It was simply swept over the card in a few places to add some highlights. Honestly, these cards had me stumped for a couple weeks, before I realized that it was stamped! I thought it was specialty paper.... go figure!
All the paper is old (can you tell I'm REALLY trying to get rid of this stuff?)
Stampin' Up! products- Pretty in Pink ink, Established Eligance stamp set (retired), teeny tiny wishes stamp set, and modern label punch.
Butterfly stamp- Hampton Art
shimmer ink- platinum planet- Dew Drop
